Today, I saw someone post an image from the Upland Pipeline skatepark. It reminded me of The Hoffman’s, that owned and managed the skatepark. I wanted to remember Mrs. Jeanne Hoffman, who worked tirelessly, volunteering countless hours to support us skateboarders, by helping to organize and run the CASL and PSL contests for so many years! She did so much for skateboarding, including being a role model for young people everywhere! I found this photo, where she presented me with her kind words upon a signed Upland Pipeline sweatshirt, which I still cherish to this day. As life moves along, sometimes it feels good to take a moment and remember those that motivated us, leaving an imprint on our lives. I know many people share my sentiments about Mrs. Hoffman, who did so much for so many! Mrs. Hoffman passed away 20 years ago, in May, 1999. Sometimes the greatest Skate legends aren’t the ones featured in the magazines!
