Growing up in the South Bay, Jeremy first received a small plastic skateboard but found an interest in skating through the Powell skate videos. After meeting Steve Rocco at Redondo Beach Pier, Klein become an original World Industries rider, even featuring in the inspirational 1989 video Rubbish Heap, before he made the move to Birdhouse Skateboards. Feeling something was lacking in the industry, Klein created his Hook-Ups brand, that would become popular for its provocative anime graphics. Today, Jeremy continues to work on Hook-Ups as well assisting in designing and working on graphics for mobile games.
