@brettenichols pieced together the fact that this golden Tony Alva photo by the great @wynnmillerphoto was shot in 1978 on the rooftop of the Olympic Pool in Deauville, France. Upon reading up on the history of the Piscine Olympique there I also noticed it was designed (in ‘66) by the same architect, Roger Taillibert, who would go on to design the Olympic complex in Montreal for the ‘76 Games. That same complex of course contained the Big ‘O – the famous highly skateable pedestrian walkway that was saved and moved back in the ‘10s.
