Salman Agah – From Dreams to Reality

Finally had a chance to take some time with this new skateboard tome @readanddestroy !

My obsession with skateboarding started at a very young age, but it wasn’t until adolescence that I discovered “skateboarding” through videos like “Terror at Tahoe” & Thrasher magazine in particular. I was particularly touched by an article titled “code name viper”. It was an article in Thrasher that documented Cab, Gonz, Hosoi and others traveling through Europe. That was instantly a dream of mine to be on a trip similar with other skateboarders from different teams traveling to search and destroy skate spots old and new.

Fast forward to the era documented in the pages of #readanddestroy (R.A.D. Magazine) I realized that dream on the trips that were sponsored by New Deal UK. I found myself in a van with Brent Fellows, Buck Smith, Bo Ikeda, Ed Templeton. Later I was with Gonz, Chatty, Cardiel, Alan Petersen, Karma, Rick Ibaseta and so many others. It was a truly special time in my life.

I’m grateful for those who preserved these times and memories and am equally grateful to be on a couple of these pages.
